The Formary works with corporations and organisations worldwide, redesigning large volume waste streams. Creating beautiful products and textiles from Agricultural and Commercial fibre waste.

Millions of tonnes of textile waste are dumped globally every year, with over 90% of this waste able to be upcycled into valuable product.

With the world’s population predicted to grow by another two billion people in the next forty years, food production will need to expand rapidly to meet the population needs. This in turn will result in increased volume of fibre waste generated in food production. Our latest project converts fibre harvested as a bi-product of the crops already grown for food production, into fabrics, rather than growing a crop solely for fibre, on precious arable land that could be used for food production.
Creating textiles as a bi-product of food crops increases the value of the crop and the productivity of the land while reducing waste and carbon emissions.
