Jeff came to NZ in 2006 from Santa Cruz, California, to lecture at the former New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine in Christchurch. Jeff lectured & supervised at the student clinic until the post-quake closure of the campus. Jeff is the Chair of the NZASA, an acupuncture regulatory body in NZ, and serves as an advisor on acupuncture and Chinese medicine for the NZ Health and Disability Commission (HDC)
