Specialized Nanny

HI there,

I'm looking for two families with babies from 4-8 months who would like to nanny share. I am a qualified, registered teacher using the Pikler/ RIE approach (see below) with children. I have recently flown to Hungary to learn from where this approach originated from.

This trip, as well as working in some of the best RIE centres in Auckland, has inspired me to work with two babies in a home environment. The reason for this choice: I believe a home environment is better for babies and young children. There is less exposure to sickness and the child gets more quality care moments.

The Pikler/ RIE approach involves gaining mutual trust and respect through sensitive observation and allowing free movement of children knowing that the child will develop in their own time which leads to intrinsic motivation.
