Ki ora, my name is Claire and I've been on a journey for the last 14 years learning and still learning the art of furniture restoration. I'm very passionate about working with native timbers. I love working on furniture that comes from a generation that believed in quality. And we are lucky to have such affordable second hand furniture in New Zealand that is of expectional quality. A lot of the furniture I restore has sentimental value, so sometimes it's about keeping the integrity of the piece but being able to highlight the beauty of the wood.
