Child Care & Education
I am a qualified and registered early childhood teacher with 8 years experience. I provide good quality care from my home.I believe the best way children learn is through their play in an unhurried and peaceful environment. I am influenced by Reggio Emilia, Pikler and RIE. The programme I provide is based on these philosophies. My programme is based on their current interests, individual needs and my thorough and extensive knowledge of the New Zealand early childhood curriculum, Te Whariki. Throughout my years of teaching, I have supported children with school readiness. I tailor my programme to prepare children during this important stage of their education.
I am enthusiastic about being out in the community and exploring the world around us. Helping children to make meaning and sense of their world. I regularly visit the library, play groups, music and movement groups and the local park.
