Artists
I am a local artist painting in acrylic paints, concentrating on landscape paintings at this stage.
My desire is to create paintings that people want to stop and look at because they are both interesting and “pleasing to the eye.” That means paintings that are realistic rather than abstract or impressionistic and more "photographic" but with a greater depth of feel, if that makes sense.
I have exhibited paintings in the Mairangi Bay Arts & Estuary Arts (Orewa) members exhibitions and some paintings are on display at the Fernielea Café.
My aim is to sell my art via my website rather than through galleries who demand large commissions which push up the price of art substantially. I have set up my website to handle online purchases.
As a Coatesville resident, I am happy for locals to contact me if they want to come and view any of my paintings. Just phone or email me beforehand and make a time! I'll be sure to get the coffee ready.
