Unlike those saying they are compostable (but are in fact only commercially compostable) the Ola capsules, made of paper and sugar cane pulp, are truly home compostable, including all of our packaging.
We only use Specialty Grade coffee and can trace all our coffee back to farmers, who we work with closely, and who are paid directly. Our coffees are organic, sustainable, and ethically farmed.
We are TUV Austria Home Compostable certified for our entire product, including the capsules and outer oxygen barrier wrapper.
New machinery was engineered to create these capsules which means they are not mass produced. They cost a lot more to manufacture than aluminum, plastic, or commercially compostable capsules, which is reflected in the retail price. To keep costs as low as possible for our wonderful customers, we have minimized packaging, and we offer free shipping throughout NZ and flat rates to Australia
