Child Care & Education
Napier Kindergartens offers affordable, high-quality early childhood education for families across Napier, Haumoana, and Wairoa. With 16 community-based kindergartens and 100% qualified, registered teachers.
We cater for 2–5-year-olds, provide nappy changing and nap times, and have five kindergartens open 50 weeks a year.
Fees and Family Donations
2-year-olds: A fee of $5 per hour is charged for the first 9 hours each week. There is no fee for any additional hours attended.
3–5-year-olds: If all 20 Hours ECE funding is allocated to kindergarten, we provide an additional 10 hours free each week. We simply request a $10 per week voluntary family donation to support our programme and community resources.
