The Lumsden Hotel is one of the oldest and the grandest building in Lumsden. Built in 1875 by the celebrated architect Robert Burwell it is now an ideal base for a range of activities including trout fishing, tramping, cycling and sightseeing around some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.
Located on the main street of Lumsden the fully renovated hotel provides old world country hospitality with spotless, airy rooms, a generous guest lounge, a warm and welcoming bar and a large relaxing garden. Great food is available from our kitchen at almost any hour and picnic lunches can be provided. Only an hour by car from Queenstown, Te Anau or Invercargill the hotel is surrounded by spectacular rivers, mountains and forest.
