Highcrest Free Range is a non-intensive free range pig farm in the heart of Te Puke. Bringing you lovely good quality Free Range Pork, Bacon, Ham, Salami, and Sausages.
We are a farrow to finish farm with a difference.
The piglets are born here on farm outdoors and weaned between 6-8 weeks depending on the conditions. The piglets spend their entire life outdoors on pasture with pig huts for shelter from the elements.
When it's time for the pigs to take the next part of their journey to get turned into pork and bacon we transport the pigs ourselves. We do this as we want to be sure they are as stress free as possible to the very end.
The Pork is then butchered by our local butcher and the meat is sold online and at the local Tauranga Farmers Market.
