Hi, I’m Iz the CV Whiz. I’ve been writing, editing and publishing for my whole professional life, almost 30 years. Formerly a senior government manager, hiring in both NZ and the UK, I’ve seen all sorts of CVs – including many fails. And I’ve seen how few people make the most of their LinkedIn profile.

As the world comes out of lockdown, so many people – myself included – are faced with their former employment being either up in the air or in tatters at their feet. You need to get earning, and fast... and there’s so much more competition out there.

A professionally-presented, clear, honest and short CV will always stand out. And LinkedIn is like your CV but different – shorter, a bit less formal, and with the chance to add photos, videos, links and case studies. In both cases, spelling and grammatical mistakes are the kiss of death.
