Cashmere Lounge

You have to head to the suburbs to try one of Wellingtons best new restaurant/ wine bars. Set in an 85 year old brick building, Cashmere Lounge has done a wonderful job of capturing the character and enhancing the aesthetics of the original structure.

The restaurant is divided into 3 rooms, each with its own unique feel. Through the front door you enter into the Bar. The area feels spacious and welcoming with it high exposed ceiling and intimate lighting. It also homes the rustic wine cellar which holds a large and varied selection of New Zealand and international wines. The concrete bar has an industrial feel where the team are only too happy to mix you up a classic cocktail or maybe try a refreshing Pilsner Urquell on tap.

The Dining room is overlooked by the open kitchen where Chef Mike Ward dishes up a delicious array of shared plates. Each plate has been designed to share and is accompanied by a range of daily specials.

The Lounge is the perfect place to unwind by the fire. An intimate room with leather sofas making it ideal for enjoying a pre dinner aperitif or an after diner Port or Cognac.

The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday for evening dining. Lunch is also available Friday through Sunday or just stop in any time for a casual drink.
