CS Roofing Southland Ltd was registered in November 2008 and started trading 2nd February 2009.
CS Roofing Southland Ltd was formed through a mutual decision by Calder Stewart Industries Ltd to separate the contracting and manufacturing operations of its Roofing Division in the Southland area.
Calder Stewart Industries is a family owned company operating from its Head Office in Milton South Otago for the past 50 years. It is a major stakeholder in the building and construction industry in the South Island.
Prior to forming CS Roofing Southland Ltd Managing Director Keith Ivey’s role with Calder Stewart Roofing Division based in Invercargill was as their National Contracts and Product Development Manager. Keith was employed in this position for some 12 years as from 1996. Prior to that Keith had his own roofing contracting business from the early 1980’s trading as Keith Ivey Contracting Ltd.
The current managerial and installation staff and contractors of CS Roofing Southland Ltd are all long term previous employees or contractors of Calder Stewart Roofing.
Keith has been an Executive member of the Roofing Association of New Zealand (RANZ) from its inception in 1994 to 2003. He was Vice-President from 1996-1999.
Keith has been since inception in 1994 the Chairman of the Roofing Advisory Board (RAB) which is part of the Roofing ITO.

The existing CS Roofing Southland Ltd business model is based around salaried managerial staff, waged roof installers and labour-only self employed roofing contractors.
The current staffing structure for CS Roofing Southland Ltd allows for site attendance for enquiries and measuring for quoting purposes, pricing, administration, site measuring and ordering, site supervision and installation.
Several of the coordination and installation staff of CS Roofing Southland Ltd has NZQA qualifications in Metal Roofing and Wall Cladding.
CS Roofing Southland Ltd are Roofing R2 Licensed Building Practitioners.
Staff has full training and are qualified to carry out Membrane roofing application.
We have carried out work at several Southland schools.
Our staff have also obtained clearance to carry out work for The Corrections Department (Invercargill Prison) and Justice Department (Invercargill Courthouse).
Several staff hold current First Aid Certificates, along with all Height Safety/access equipment courses being completed.
Staff hold Site Safe Passports.
We have an extensive Healthy and Safety Policy in place.
We carry out roof and spouting repairs, new residential and commercial installations, commercial and residential re-roofs and offer a free no obligation quote service.
