Community Services
BBBS Auckland matches children ages 7 to 11 with mentors in a professionally supported one to one relationship, that can continue until the young person is 18 years of age.
Through professionally supported one to one mentoring relationships young people are provided with safe places, positive relationships, services and opportunities to develop personal strengths and interpersonal skills that enhance their long term well being and success in life.
Youth development and growth is seen in our mentored young people who have the opportunity to gain greater clarity on their career/school/personal goals, new insights into their surroundings, lasting friendships, enhanced social development, new experiences and to become connected to and a part of their community.
Volunteer mentors and sponsors are sought.
An initial one year commitment of weekly visits with a young person is required.
