A point that I often use to facilitate “letting go” which can be a physical holding on like a tension or an emotional holding which most of my clients present with one way or another.
I stumbled upon this very nice explanation of “ letting go “ I think is worth sharing:
Letting go of these things is not as simple as it may sound. Friends may advise you to just “let go” as if it were as simple as taking off a coat or setting down a suitcase. The problem is that our holding on is not of that kind. Rather, it is borne of longstanding habits, patterns, attitudes and beliefs. Letting go is not something you actually do. In fact, it happens when there is no doing. Letting go is surrender, acceptance. It is being present with what is here now in this moment. Being in the now is the antidote to holding on to memories of the past and projections of the future.
The acupressure point I use is Large Intestines 4 and must not be used in pregnancy!
It’s found if you tuck your thumb into the side of your hand a crease is being made. At the end of the crease is a bulge. Press your opposite thumb into the muscle of the highest point of the bulge. Direct pressure towards the hand. Like this you are basically holding your own hands. I invite you to spend some quiet time with this point. You will be bringing yourself back to yourself in the present moment. It will support you in “letting go” of all those things that are no longer helpful to you, no longer serve you and your well-being.
Hold for a few minutes or until the sensitivity decreased. Bring all the attention to the physical sensation and any feelings that may arise.

Reflexology for woman!
Woman can suffer from many conditions that are related to their hormones and perceived stress and if this system is out of balance and not functioning well it can create a domino effect throughout the body.
70% of all woman suffer from some form of PMS( Premenstrual syndrome) the reason is an imbalance of hormones; too much oestregene and inadequate levels of progesteron.
PMS affects woman about 1 to 2 weeks before menstruation, when hormone levels are changing. There are many symptom, including muscle cramps, anxiety, mood swings, headaches, clumsiness, backache, depression, insomnia, breast tenderness, constipation and water retention.
The key in "reflexology for woman" is to focus on the body's hormonal and nervous systems and influence them to regain balance. Nutrition, exercise and mindfulness will support that healthy development.
In a reflexology session I will target specific reflex areas/points to help harmonize the female hormonal system:

Think of those stresses and strains in life like this glass I am holding out. As we think of stressful events and things that might happen just for a short while, nothing happens it’s easy to hold. Think about them a bit longer and they begin to hurt. Think about them all day long and even through some of the night I would feel paralysed incapable of doing anything.
It is essential to remember to let go of your stresses and learn to put that glass down.

Summer is looming and I have been getting more requests for weight management Hypnotherapy.
I would like to take the opportunity here to answer some of the questions I get:
Can you make me do things I don’t want?
No. Not even the most skilled hypnotherapist could make you do something that you don’t want to do or is against your moral/ ethics. You would get out of the hypnotic trance if I would suggest something that is against your values.
How many sessions will it take?
That depends on a few factors:
Motivation. The higher or stronger your motivation the better. It needs to be important to you to change otherwise nothing will change. A strong motivator will keep you on track.
Stress factors at home and daily living.
The issue: for example “Weight management “takes much longer and is more tricky than “ freedom of smoking”
What does Hypnotherapy help with?
Anything that stress makes worse. Basically it helps you to change unwanted patterns, habits or behaviour without yearlong therapy. It’s like changing the software that was driving a habit and replacing it with one that is desired.
What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy uses the conscious mind to get to the more powerful subconscious mind bypassing the critical conscious mind to help you to achieve your desired goals. It’s the temporary suspension of disbelief by keeping the conscious occupied then talking to the subconscious which likes dream language and metaphors and is a bit like a child.
Can anyone be hypnotised?
Yes, any mentally healthy person can and most mentally challenged can too. In fact we all go into trance regularly; in front of the TV, reading a book, driving home, before falling asleep and just after waking. Those are all natural trance states and we go in and out those states several times a day.
Can I learn to hypnotise myself?
Yes. When you have a Hypnotherapy sessions with me you will also learn how to hypnotise yourself . I think it’s such a valuable skill to have and I like to empower my clients.
