SZADKOWSKI, Zygmunt (Zyggy)
Peacefully on 30 January 2023 at Wellington Hospital, surrounded by family. Zyggy was born in Mylsk, Poland, and arrived in New Zealand in 1944 as part of the Pahiatua Polish Children Refugees. Dearly loved husband of Wiesia for 55 years. Loved father of Sophie, Joe & Halina. Loved father in-law of David, Claire & Allan. Cherished Grandad of Danny, Jake & Lauryn. Loved brother of Gienek (dec), Czesia (dec), Irena, and their children. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wellington Free Ambulance at www.wfa.org.nz... or in a donation box at the funeral. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Martin de Porres Church, 8 Park Avenue, Lower Hutt, on Friday 3 February at 11.00am, followed by interment at Akatarawa Cemetery.
