On January 9, 2023, peacefully with family, aged 92. Dearly loved husband of the late Joan. Much loved dad of Lorraine and Bryce Thomson (Hokitika), Pauline Hapi (Ross), and Kelly and Francina (Hari Hari). Loved Pop of Sonya, Natasha, Kristin, Jenna, Elizabeth, Dean, Charles, the late Alida, and Old Pop of his 14 great-grandchildren.
