COLLETT, Maxwell Amner (Max)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maxwell Amner Collett, WW2 Spitfire Pilot of RNZAF 485 Sqn, and a well-known accountant in Hawke’s Bay, who passed away peacefully at home on December 25, 2022, in his 100th year. Max was the dearly loved father of Rosemary, Vivienne, Noel and Dianne, grandfather of Tania, Jason, Vincent, Riley, Bentley and Winston, and great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren. Max was predeceased by his wife Noeline to whom he was married for over 60 years. Max’s devotion to family, support for the community, energy, wit and enthusiasm for life will be missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Max’s life will be held in the Beth Shan Chapel, 157 Georges Drive, Napier, on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 10.30am. Messages to the Collett Family, C/- PO Box 439, Napier 4140.
