Passed away peacefully on 21st December 2022 at Awatere Care Suites, aged 95. Dearly loved husband of the late Verona. Much loved father of Judith (Judy), Brian, Anne, and Geoffrey. Supportive father-in-law through the years to Ron, Nellie, Les, Kim, and Hunter. Proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren – Kohe, the late Maia; Anna, Ross, Callum; Alexander, Barnaby, Cameron; Louis, Theo. Delighted great-grandfather of Luca, Brooke and Trieste. Heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at Awatere Care Suites for their outstanding compassion and care over the last 15 months. According to Fred’s wishes, a private cremation has taken place.
