Went to see Jesus on his birthday surrounded with love after fighting hard at Lister Home and Hospital, Waimate. Adored wife of Merv, loved mother and mother-in-law of Debbie and Doug Aitcheson, Vicki and Dave Barnard, Belinda and Tony McKenzie, Brendon and Leanne Carlyon, and Sheree and Steve Taylor. Loving Gran and GG of her 20 grandchildren and 6 and half great-grandchildren. Youngest daughter of Vic and Mary Wareing (both deceased), and only sister of Colleen. Friend of Athol Winter. Grateful thanks to the staff at Lister Home and Hospital for taking great care of her and supporting us so well in the last 6 days. Farewell for Marie will be held at St Patrick’s Basilica, Reed Street, Oamaru, on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11.00am, followed by interment at Oamaru Cemetery.
