RAKENA, Paula Maire
(aged 65). Loved partner of Ivan and precious mum of Cara. Sadly, as a result of Paula’s declining health, she has been granted assistance to pass away with dignity. Paula is a much loved daughter of Kena (deceased) and Sal (Joan) Rakena; sister of Judith (deceased) and Alan, Nola and Jim, Kenny and Kate, and Robin. Aunty to Jeremy and Ruth, Michelle and Clint, Daniel and Jamie. Great-aunt to Jasmyn, Levi, Shavorn, Mia, Ariana, Lucy and Jasper. Paula will arrive on to Rapaki Marae, around 4.00pm on Monday, December 19, to spend the night there with whnau and friends. On Tuesday, December 20, a service for Paula will be held at 11.00am on the marae, followed by a 1.00pm, service at the Canterbury Crematorium, corner of Keighleys Road and Linwood Avenue, Christchurch.
