FITZGERALD, Edmund Joseph (Eddie)

Our wonderful Eddie passed away peacefully at Elloughton Gardens, on Tuesday, November 22, 2022; in his 96th year. Dearly loved husband of Mary for 68 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Janece and Ross Smith, Christine (dec), and Michael. Loved Eddie to his grandchildren Mark and Poi Emmerson, Arron and Kimberley Emmerson, Sheriee and Andy Marsh, Brigetta and Andrew Smith, Matthew and Mania, Jeremy (dec), Leticia and John McIntosh, Hamish, and Georgia, and to his 13 great-grandchildren. Loved youngest son of Mary and Michael, and son-in-law of James and Hannah Ross (all dec). Loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle to his extended families. Special thanks to Elloughton Gardens and Strathallan Life Care for their wonderful care of Eddie over the past year. A celebration of Eddie’s life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 160 Mountain View Road, Timaru, on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 1.00pm, followed by interment at Timaru Cemetery.
