KENSINGTON, Lorna

After overcoming her disabilities, she showed everyone what an amazing woman she was. Some people call her determined, some call her stubborn, her family call her, pig headed. Her strength and courage gave her the ability to come back after her stroke to live 16 full years with her ever growing family. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, 22nd November 2022, aged 85 years. Much loved and cherished wife of the late Bill Kensington of whom Lorna was married to for 58 years. Much loved and loving mum and mumma of Ann and Joe, Nathan and Stacey, Adam and Erin, Rebecca and Shane, Justin and Kim, the late Peter, Shelly and Bruce, Natalia and Lex, Peita, John and Adrienne, Halie and Josh, Renee and Nathan, Jenna and Sean, Candace and Tristan, Zoe and Cain. Loved late twin of Joyce, sister of the late Merna, late Donald, Jean, and Andrew. Great-Mumma of many great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lorna’s life with a service at St. Pauls Co-op Parish, Havelock Street Opunake, on Saturday 26th November 2022 at 11am, prior to being laid to rest with Bill at the Lizzie Bell Memorial Cemetery, Pihama.
