Peacefully at home on November 15, 2022, surrounded by his family. Loved husband of Mary, dedicated and loving father and father-in-law to Andrew and Jan, Chris and Bronwyn, Richard and Anneke, Mike and Anna, loved John of Allie, and Ben; Bodhi, and Sashi; Zoë, Quinn, and Izzy, dearly loved brother of Mary Elizabeth, and the late Anne Cecilia, loved uncle of Tim, Greg, and Elizabeth, and loved by all the Cowan family. A Requiem Mass for John will be celebrated at St Thomas’ Church, Mountain View Road, Timaru, on Thursday, November 17 at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation.
