On 31 October 2022 after a long and full life, Ed (Eddie) passed away peacefully, aged 103 years. Beloved husband of the late Star, dearly loved father and father-in-law of Helen and John, Carol and John, and the late Doug Fleming. Loved Grandad to Pete and Cathy, Dave and the late Monique, Andy and Deearn, Nicky and Duncan, Mike, Becky and Kris. Treasured great-grandfather and Poppa to Ben, Edwin and William; Ekaterina and James, Alex; Beth and Hayden, Tom and Sarah; Josh and Hayley; Aidan, Scarlett and Rukia; and great-great-grandfather to little Mika. A private family cremation has taken place for Ed, and will be followed by a Memorial Service to celebrate his life at a date to be advised. Thanks to staff at Sprott House (Metlifecare Karori) for their care of Ed.
