Former Maintenance Manager of the James Cook Hotel, Wellington. Passed away peacefully in the company of family and friends on Friday 14 October 2022 at Waikanae Lodge, aged 89 years. Dear husband of the late Bertha Cool. Loved brother to Veronika (Vienna), Peter, Maria and Lisa (Salzburg) and wonderful uncle to nieces and nephews in Austria and Spain. Master of many German Shepherds. A warm thank you to Steve & Elaine and Peter of Paraparaumu Motel, the staff of Waikanae Lodge and Eldon Lodge staff who supported Hans and his wife Bertha, during difficult periods in his retired life. A unique character. A Requiem Mass to be held at Our Lady of Kapiti Church, Presentaion Way, Paraparaumu, on Monday 31 October 2022 at 11.00am, to be followed by private cremation.
