Passed away peacefully Monday, October 17, 2022 at Rapaki, aged 75 years. Beloved husband of Maria (Ri) Korako – Tait. Devoted and respected father and father-in-law of Cushla and Richard Dwyer (Rapaki), Nicole and John Cosgrove (Ireland). Treasured Poua of James, Henry and Isabelle Dwyer. Cushla, Grace and Michael Cosgrove. Respected and dearly loved brother-in-law of Tutehounuku and Christine Korako (Rapaki), Anne and Robert Candler (England), Maata and Brian Luecke (Perth), Waiata and Mathew Haronga (Perth), Awhina and the late Phillip Nixon (Tuahiwi), the late Pania and Watene Ruha (Tuahiwi), Kui Kui Korako (Brisbane), Susan Korako (Rangiora) and Meri and Charles Crofts (Christchurch). Cherished uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Dearly loved brother and uncle to Connie and the late Roy O’Neil, Alan and Raewin Tai, Susan Stewart and Tracey Berg, and their respective whanau. The Korako Whanau will bring their brother-in-law to the Tuahiwi Marae on Wednesday, October 19, arriving at 10.00am and commence a service to celebrate Nare / Bob’s life at 1.00pm at the marae and interment thereafter at the Te Uru Ti Urupa.
