On October 13, 2022, at Ngaio Marsh, in the early hours, Marilyn left us following a brief illness to join her treasured ‘sweetie’ Lloyd. The rock of our family; loved and deeply admired mother and mother-in-law of Derek and Jane, Bruce and Kirsten, Susan and Aaron; and very proud ‘Nan’ to grandsons Kieran, Cameron, Seamus and Rowan. Sincere thanks to Mum’s doctor, Richard Newman, Christchurch Hospital’s Ward 23 diagnostic team, Nurse Maude Palliative staff and the team at Ngaio Marsh – your care and compassion for Mum was outstanding. Our family were privileged to all say our goodbyes and would welcome you in joining us for her commemorative service at Harewood Crematorium Chapel, Wilkinsons Road, Harewood, Christchurch, on Thursday, October 20, at 11.00am.
