So recycling isn’t an option.. but Don’t Kick it to the Kerbside.

As recycling collection has changed significantly since we went into COVID-19 lockdown, we’ve decided to run a fun reuse your recycling competition for bubbles across the Wellington region.

Showcase your best reuse your recycling skills and win!

The concept is simple. From your bins, salvage items you would recycle and come up with a creative way to give them a new lease on life.

Then post a photo of your creation on the Facebook page along with the category you are entering and a description of what is happening in the photo by 4 pm on 1 May 2020.

Categories:

  • Make your own wonderful world of waste costume - You could be a robot, a superhero, a fashion icon, or you could go all out and model your costume of the World of Wearable Arts.

  • Sculpture - Sculpt away. It can be arty, it can be functional, it could be both. Your recycling is your oyster.

Criteria & how to enter:

  • Your creation must be made up of at least 80 per cent materials you would normally put in your kerbside recycling.

  • Post a photo (or photos) of your masterpiece on the competition Facebook page, along with the category you are entering and description of your design by 4 pm on 1 May 2020. If you do not have Facebook, you can email them through to advice@sustaintrust.org.nz
