Hops in the Vines ‘24

Craft beer meets fine wine: We’re Bringing Brewtown’s Laid-Back Vibes to the Wairarapa Vines!

Get ready for a laid-back weekend getaway like no other! We’re teaming up with our good mates at Matahiwi Estate, loading up the truck with our kegs, lawn games, and retro furniture, and bringing those classic Brewtown vibes to their picturesque vineyard. A chill, sun-soaked lineup awaits - the perfect way to spend Wellington Anniversary weekend.

Hops in the Vines is an R18 event

A mouth-watering selection of craft beer and wines

You and your mates will be sipping and savouring the best of craft beer and fine wine. We’ll be pouring bevvies from our celebrated resident brewers - Panhead Custom Ales, Boneface Brewing Co, Te Aro Brewing, Kereru Brewing Company, and the fine folks at Wild Kiwi Distillery. Meanwhile, Matahiwi Estate will be serving up a selection of their delicious wines. No matter your vibe, there’s a beverage for everyone!

Live bands or chill vibes

Dust off your dancing shoes and bust some shapes on the dancefloor to a killer lineup of local bands! For those looking for a quieter time, guests are encouraged to BYO picnic blanket and partake in the various relaxing lawn games on offer, like Giant Jenga, Cornhole, Table Tennis, and Hammerschlagen.

Kick back and have a feed

Top-notch local food trucks will be serving up delicious feeds ensuring your belly stays happy throughout the day. Kick back on Brewtown’s iconic retro couches, pallet furniture (handcrafted by Phil’s dad, Tony) and hay bales, and bask in the breathtaking vineyard views.

(Sorry, no BYO food or drink)

Stress-free transport

Parking is available for your GC sober drivers. For those looking to enjoy a bevvie or two, we've arranged coaches from Brewtown and local pickups in Martinborough, Featherston, Greytown, Carterton, and Masterton. Plus, they'll make sure you get home safely at the end of the day.
