Our third in a series of World War One commemorative concerts, the Aorangi Singers and Symphony Orchestra return with a programme featuring works by Gregorio Allegri, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, J.S. Bach and Gabriel Fauré, whose ethereal "Requiem" gives the event its title. With talented young soloists, Leila Alexander (soprano), Jarvis Dams (baritone), Dilys Fong (alto) and Charlotte Francis (violin), award-winning conductor and artistic director Sarah Bisley presents an evening of music of beauty, poignancy, and consolation.

On the programme:
Allegri, Gregorio “Miserere Mei Deus” for mixed choir and solo choir (ca. 1630)
Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus "Symphony No.39 in E flat Major” KV 543 (1788)
Bach, J.S. “Erbarme dich” from the St Matthew Passion (1727)
Faurė, Gabriel "Requiem” in D minor, Opus 48 (1893 version, adaptation by John Rutter)
for SATB choir, soprano and baritone soloists, chamber orchestra
