Why We Change The Clocks
Apr 5, 2024

Daylight Savings ends this Sunday 7th April at 0300 – so don’t forget to adjust your clocks!

Why Do We Have Daylight Savings?

Well, the Earth is on a tilt of about 23 degrees. This means that we get more sunlight during the summer months, than the winter months. Daylight Savings is designed to help us make the most out of that extra daylight. It gives us the daylight in the evenings, rather than early in the morning. There is nothing like a slow summer sunset afterall!

But as the temperatures drop, and the Earth’s tilt shifts for winter, we will be enjoying less daylight. Hence, the end to Daylight Savings.

This means we will be getting an extra hour on Sunday 7th April. What can you do with that extra hour of time? Here are our top 3 things to do with that extra hour!

3. Consider Installing a VPN

Did you know that a VPN can protect your device and personal information from being stolen when you are using public wifi? Unfortunately, it is true. Public wifi can pose a risk to your personal data as they are often busy networks that hackers can easily lurk in. A VPN will make your information anonymous so that it’s a lot more difficult for a hacker to find. Consider investing in a VPN with that extra hour of time to boost your cybersecurity this winter!
