Appeal for information following fatal Whanganui crash

Police investigating a fatal crash in Whanganui on Saturday evening are appealing to the public for information.

The crash involving a motorcycle and a van occurred on Anzac Parade near Georgetti Road around 6:15pm, on Saturday 9 November.

The motorcyclist sadly died at the scene.

A 41-year-old man has been charged in relation to the incident and is due to appear in Whanganui District Court today. 

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen a Black Toyota Estima people-mover van in the Anzac Parade or Putiki area on Saturday evening.

Officers would also like to speak to any members of the public who were at the scene who have not yet spoken to Police.
