My name is Álvaro Ortiz and today I come to present my book written in Spanish. “Teens on the Move. Things that I would have liked to seriously consider when I was a teenager”.
And I am doing a campaign to raise funds to translate my book into English.
It's a book with 214 pages and 62000 words.

A book with which I want to inspire the teens to be their best version. To look inside and believe in themselves, to consider what they want in their lives and take the steps to achieve it.
It is a book written with the heart, autobiographical in which I wanted to transmit my experiences and together with my studies, readings and experiences I want to get the reader to live a fuller life.
May we work with the heart through unconditional love, bringing gratitude to each door, to each person, with the forgiveness of the hand for when we make mistakes or judge or we can harm another person and even ourselves.
Actting in accordance to values of love, understanding and respect with oneself, with others and with Nature.
Avoiding judgments and complaints and empowering yourself to have a fuller and happier life.
I have been fortunate that more and more adolescents and their parents and grandparents are reading the book in Spanish. But now I would like to take it to the rest of the world, not only to Spanish speakers and therefore my campaign to be able to translate the book into English, in order to reach more people to be able to inspire them along this path to be the co-creator of your life and destiny.
I've been living in New Zealand for 2,5 years. But now with the Covid I can't promote the book in Spain in the High Schools. And living here, a lot of people ask me why I don't translate the book into English. And I say because now I don't have the money to do it. I have a lot of thing to pay. When I came here I don't have to much money I started as a student (with the Student Visa) and also I have some bank loans from Spain to pay.
When I self-published my book I needed a lot of money and I'm still paying for it.
But I am grateful and proud to have invested all this time to write it and put it in the hands of the world to help more people achieve their dreams. And from here request funds to pay for the translation, which is around US$0.09 per word and therefore requires an investment of US$5520.
I would like to meet the required funds before my birthday on April 2, 2021, as it would be a fabulous gift for myself. And start doing the sales campaign at Easter. So that the teens have time to read it and put it into practice when they start school again.

Y estoy haciendo una campaña para recaudar fondos para traducir mi libro al inglés.

Un libro con el que quiero inspirar a los adolescentes a ser su mejor versión. Mirar hacia adentro y creer en sí mismos, considerar lo que quieren en sus vidas y dar los pasos para lograrlo.
Es un libro escrito con el corazón, autobiográfico en el que he querido transmitir mis vivencias y junto a mis estudios, lecturas y experiencias adquieridas quiero conseguir que el lector viva una vida más plena.
Que trabajemos con el corazón a través del amor incondicional, llevando la gratitud a cada puerta, a cada persona, con el perdón de la mano para cuando cometemos errores o juzgamos o podemos dañar a otra persona e incluso a nosotros mismos.
Actuar de acuerdo con los valores de amor, comprensión y respeto con uno mismo, con los demás y con la Naturaleza.
Evitar juicios y quejas y empoderarse para tener una vida más plena y feliz.
He tenido la suerte de que cada vez más adolescentes y sus padres y abuelos leen el libro en español. Pero ahora me gustaría llevarlo al resto del mundo, no solo a hispanohablantes y por lo tanto mi campaña para poder traducir el libro al inglés, con el fin de llegar a más personas para poder inspirarlas en este camino y ser el co-creador de tu vida y destino.
Vivo en Nueva Zelanda desde hace 2,5 años. Pero ahora con el Covid no puedo promocionar el libro en España en los Institutos. Y viviendo aquí, mucha gente me pregunta por qué no traduzco el libro al inglés. Y les digo, porque ahora no tengo dinero para hacerlo. Tengo muchas cosas que pagar. Cuando llegué aquí no tenía mucho dinero empecé como estudiante (con la visa de estudiante) y también tengo algunos préstamos bancarios de España para pagar.
Cuando auto-publiqué mi libro, necesitaba mucho dinero y todavía lo estoy pagando.
Pero estoy agradecido y orgulloso de haber invertido todo este tiempo para escribirlo y ponerlo en manos del mundo para ayudar a más personas a alcanzar sus sueños. Y por ello, desde aquí solicitar fondos para pagar la traducción, que ronda los 0,075 € por palabra y por tanto requiere una inversión de 4600 €.
Me gustaría alcanzar los fondos requeridos para antes de mi cumpleaños el 2 de Abril de 2021, ya que sería un fabuloso autoregalo. Y empezar a hacer la campaña de ventas en pascua. Para que los chavales tenga tiempo de leerlo y ponerlo en práctica al empezar de nuevo el colegio.
