A developer has applied to Auckland council to remove native Bush, along Aaran Drive and Aaran Point parade which is part of the Te Ara Tahuna Orewa estuary walk.

The Bush currently has Auckland Council protection as a significant ecological area, as the Bush consists of pohutakawa, puriri, and coastal broadleaf forest. With its rarity, diversity and protection of bird migration pathways, and the large population of native birds that make their home there.

The developer wishes to build a further eight properties in this current ecological area. The developer also asked for no public notification of this matter.

Please sign and support saving the native vegetation and animal life in this area.
