Drew from Tararua District

Its been reported that a National MP advised the media that John Key was phoning around gathering support for Chris Luxon to be elected party leader at the upcoming caucus meeting on Tuesday. This was immediately denied by John Key and the original story corrected by the media.

Three things are highlighted by this saga

1) National are at it again with their MP's running to the media every opportunity they get with no loyalty to the party that put them into parliament. In the real world of commercial reality such behaviour would get hem fired.

2) who ever it was got their facts wrong. Surely they should have checked before making any statements to anyone let alone the media.

3) typical media behavour, print before checking the facts, simply lazy journalism or perhaps some personal attitudes at play.

I'm finding it harder and harder to support a party that can't control its members and further its members display this type of unprofessional behaviour

Let's defend ourselves together....

Martin from Ashhurst - Pohangina

The Labour party and their friends are now being hammered because they are not doing what the general public would like them to to do. Jacinda is now facing a problem that has never been faced before - a war on our own territory - and the poor lady just has no records to fall back on. Back in the 1940's when the UK was under threat, Parliament was dissolved and a co-alition was set in place. This gave us some very severe measures - rationing of many food items for instance - and people were requested, nay - forced to grow their own vegetables, have chooks in their backyards, trading amongst neighbours, local councils let out allotments for anyone to grow more vegetables. You just don't know how bad it could get - it least we are not putting up with air raids and bombing.
Give Jacinda a break, she's doing the best that she can, she doesn't need all the hindrance she's getting from the anti-vaxxers and the nay-sayers.
