Astonishingly stupid

David from Rangiora

Have just cycled down church street and what do I see?
About twenty kids on the skate board park with parents sitting watching
With all the publicity how can this be? I see no difference between this and having a coffee which of course one cannot do (except at home).

Recycling during lockdown

Angela from Rangiora

Hi Neighbours,
Just wondering if you all know during lockdown your recycle bins are being taken direct to landfill - I won't be putting my bin out until the recycle sorting centres are open again when level 4 is over.

Christchurch recycling temporarily halted during Covid-19 crisis

Anna Williams Reporter from The Press

Mixed paper, plastic and glass from Christchurch and Banks Peninsula households will go to landfill, instead of being recycled. If people are struggling to fit all their general rubbish in their red wheelie bin during the lockdown, they can put excess in the yellow wheelie bin - temporarily.
