Death Cafe Whangarei

Jo from Central Whangarei

Come along and join us for an open, lighthearted, informative and wide ranging discussion about our relationship to, and understanding of death, in our lives and community. No agenda other than the questions we bring and the information we share about something that touches us all. Free Event, Purchase own refreshments, All Welcome
Dickens Inn, Cameron St, Whangarei. Saturday 26th June, 10am -12pm
Death Cafes are part of a global movement where people, often strangers, gather to talk about death. We hold our death cafes in a cafe to normalise the conversation about death - please be prepared for the cafe environment
Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'. A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group not a grief support or counselling session.
Our Death Cafes are always offered: - On a not for profit basis - in a respectful and confidential space - With no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action.

Poll: Could we live without public bins?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Many public rubbish bins are being removed by councils due to the large costs of regularly emptying them. Do you think we can adapt and live without them?

Type 'Not For Print' if you wish your comments to be excluded from the We Say You Say column of your local paper.
