Wanted: House sitter extraordinaire

Yuri from Wadestown

I'm away from mid-March to mid-April and need a special person to look after my home and two little dogs. The dogs are well-behaved, healthy, and need two walks a day. Looking for someone who has experience with dogs, works from home or is home most of the time, can drive, and is reasonably fit, because the house is 90 steps up from the street. It's a sunny one-bedroom near Otari-Wilton Bush with a heat pump and bottomless cup fibre broadband. The garden is small, but on three levels, and there is always weeding and watering to do! Ideally you can be flexible about the finish date in case of travel disruptions. If this appeals to you or someone you know, please PM me. (Note: This is a free house sit, not a paid position).

Poll: Are Kiwis bad drivers?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Each country has its own idiosyncrasies when it comes to driving and New Zealand is no different.
With daily near-misses, people incorrectly indicating at roundabouts and a lack of stopping at stop signs, it begs the question: Are Kiwis actually not that good at driving?

Type 'Not For Print' if you wish your comments to be excluded from the Conversations column of your local paper.

Collections

Judy from Aro Valley

Hi
I've just been looking at a recent post from Neighbourly, asking about what people 'collect'. My company, TaskMasters, declutters for people downsizing (mainly into retirement villages), and clears estates. We come across so many interesting things that we either sell, send to charities or, as a last resort if there is nowhere for them to go, take them to the tip (which we hate doing). There are so many interesting things that people collect. If you would like us to keep an eye out for anything in the Wellington region (Wairarapa to Wellington to Kapiti) to purchase, I'm sure many of our clients would be happy to sell them. They just want things to go to a good home and for someone else to love them again, as they have loved them for many years. Please email me at info@taskmasters.co.nz.
