Wadestown Residents Meeting to discuss Wadestown Connections
There's a Wadestown Connections meeting on Monday 9th September at 6.30pm at St Luke's Church hall, Wadestown. At least 4 councillors are attending & will be available to answer your pre-submitted questions. The public survey showed overwhelming opposition to all the council's proposals to add a cycle way from Wadestown to Crofton Downs & remove 50% of our parking so why are the council still continuing with this? Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? 💰🌲
The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?
