Hi everyone, we’ve found a black puppy (Labrador cross I think). Give me a text or call on 0276225855 if she’s yours or you know the owner. Cheers

Poll: Should parking prices rise in Wellington to keep rates down?

Ben Heather Reporter from Dominion Post

Wellington City Council is short on cash and mulling a parking fees hike. Options on the table include night parking charges or expanding the CBD area of high-price parking. Or they could always just increase rates. www.stuff.co.nz...

Unwelcome dumping in our bins

Sophie from Northland

Our Playcentre has been the recipient of some unwelcome rubbish in the last few months, someone has been dumping their household waste in our bin, filling it up.
Not only is this a nuisance, it stinks! The rubbish is clearly NOT from our volunteer run ECE as it is full of cigarette butts. They have also filled our Recycling Bin with general waste, which we have had to then empty.
As we pay for the bins to be emptied, we would like this to STOP.
Has anyone else had this happen to them, and what did you do to prevent it happening again? We would like to avoid locking up our bins as that would be a nuisance, and at present, building a lockable bin bay is beyond our time and financial means.
This is not ok.
