It’s not easy growing up in New Zealand today. The Salvation Army and The Warehouse Group know that life can be tough for young people, and that's why we teamed up to develop an innovative and effective youth development programme called ‘Aspire’.

Launched in 2015, thanks to seed funding received from The Warehouse Group's 2014 Suppliers Dinner and ongoing funding support from Warehouse Stationery, Aspire has helped more than 1000 young people develop the skills, confidence, knowledge and networks they need to successfully address challenges and achieve their goals.

From now until the end of July, donations from Warehouse Stationery customers will help support hundreds of at-risk teens who aspire to change their lives.

Soft plastic recycling bins are back

Hi neighbours, soft plastic recycling bins are coming back.

The Love NZ Soft Plastic Recycling Scheme, which was suspended in 2018, has returned to Auckland and Hamilton and, as of October, will be back in Wellington too.

It can get confusing trying to keep track of what to recycle, what not to recycle, and what's just rubbish.

Titahi Bay beach

We have been made aware of a video on social media of Titahi Bay beach with comments of suspected wastewater pollution/sewage.

We can confirm there has been no discharge or overflow event from the Porirua Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The video shows seaweed and sea foam, which is common following heavy winds.

We will be conducting tests in the area for reassurance, and will provide an update when these results have been received.
