Poll: Is it time to revive Wellington's flag?

Katie Townshend Reporter from Dominion Post

It's unmistakable: the trireme-like ship, the flying dragon-dolphin-fish, the English flags. Quintessentially Wellington. Right?
The new mayor of Wellington and a city councillor want to see the revival of the city's flag and coat of arms around the city in help foster "civic pride". But, others say the flag is "a relic of the past" that fell into disuse for a reason. What do you think of the flag? www.stuff.co.nz...

We need a second tunnel, I don't believe that the WCC voted it NOT to go ahead. If you want it to be brought forward please sign this petition. Thanks Lynne Marshall

Soil

Chiara from Miramar

Hi does anyone have some nice good soil they aren’t needing and willing to sell?
I’ve bought a bit from the garden centres but it’s not doing the job! I’m after about 80 litres.

Thanks

MARTINBOROUGH – TOTAL OUTDOOR WATER BAN LIFTED

The Team from Wellington Water

Thank you to the residents of Martinborough for your conservation efforts this past week. The total outdoor water ban has now been lifted, and residents are now permitted to water their gardens using hand-held devices - no irrigation devices, sprinklers or unattended hoses.

This is in addition to year round, alternate day watering - even numbered properties on even numbered dates and odd numbered properties on odd numbered dates
