Nicola Phillips from Art Classes with Niki Phillips

Hi everyone, I have had a call to start a special needs art class....I have my first student (who suffered a head trauma) and her sister who has also always wanted to learn to paint) attending....if anyone else would like to join us I will create a Saturday afternoon Art Class at the beautiful Haitaitai Bowling Club. We will be painting the same gorgeous Kiwi seascape that the other Beginner's class will be painting. Please text me on 0273 119 209 for more information. Let's get this class started!

Tell us the story behind your bear

Katie Townshend Reporter from Dominion Post

We're going on a bear hunt! People across the country are popping bears in their windows. But what's the story behind the fuzzy faces? Tell us about your bear - what's their name, where did you get it, how far have they travelled? Post a photo and tell us their story! (Please mark any posts you don't want to see published NFP).

At-Home Fire Safety Checklist

Fire and Emergency from Fire and Emergency New Zealand

With everyone staying home, it’s now more important than ever for everyone to be fire-safe. People can find information on our website - fireandemergency.nz...

We’re heading into winter, and with households self-isolating together, there’ll be more cooking at home, and more use of open fires, heaters, and dryers - all things which can increase fire risk.

New Zealanders can be confident that Fire and Emergency is well-prepared and ready to respond to emergencies as usual during the nationwide self- isolation period.

Please call 111 if you have a fire, we will ask you whether anyone at the address is self-isolating or has a confirmed case of COVID-19. Where this is the case, we already have necessary measures in place to ensure everyone’s safety including protective clothing, gloves, masks, safety glasses and mask.
