Razor blades in the walls....

Kylie Klein Nixon Reporter from Homed

Has anyone ever seen something like the image below in an older Kiwi home? Does anyone remember them from their childhood? These strange slots allowed you to rid yourself of an old razor and never think of it again...but it also meant, years down the track, that someone renovating would be in for a nasty, rusty surprise.
I'm certain I've seen something like this here in Aotearoa-NZ, but can't for the life of me recall where. It was in the back of the medicine cupboard. Let us know if you've seen, had - or have - one in your home.

ANZAC Day time of reflection

Linda Grigg from Waiuku & Districts Combined Churches

The Waiuku ANZAC parade will be leaving outside St Andrew's Centre, 85 Queen Street on 25 April. Prior to the parade, St Andrew's will be open for a time of quiet reflection. A short multimedia presentation about ANZAC Day will be played. The presentation lasts roughly 15 minutes and will be on a loop from 9.45am, finishing at 10.30am before the parade leaves. You are welcome to join this at any point between those times. Just come into the auditorium (large meeting space to the left inside the doors) and sit anywhere.
