Timaru man thrown as he tries to stop car being stolen
The owner of a car stolen from a petrol station in Timaru on Wednesday has described the moment her husband was thrown from his car as he tried to stop it from being stolen.
Timaru woman Hannah Philpott said her husband had been filling their "kermit green" V8 Holden Commodore - registration BEM470 - with petrol at Caltex on King St, Timaru, on Wednesday morning when it was stolen. Read more here
Timaru Police are urging anyone who saw the car or anything suspicious in the area to contact them at 03 687 9808.
