Rubbish collection is returning to normal

The Team from Matamata Piako District Council

Rubbish collection is back to normal this week.

This means:

Rubbish in the black MPDC bag, will go back to being placed on the kerbside by 7.30am.

All clean plastics, paper, cardboard and tins can go loose in your wheelie bin

Glass can be placed in the green crate

Do not place rubbish bags in your wheelie bin.

We will not be holding anymore rubbish pop up sites as Morrinsville and Matamata Transfer Stations are reopen.

This week is Morrinsville’s recycling week.

Te Aroha and Matamata, your recycling week is next week.

If your recycling is already bagged in your wheelie bin, it will still be collected. But please ensure it’s loose for the next collection.

Next month we are making changes to plastic recycling - you can learn more in the link

On this ANZAC Day, let's take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.

Tell us who are you honouring today. Whether it's a story from the battlefield or a memory of a family member who fought in the war, we'd love you to share your stories below.
