Our community needs Justices of the Peace. Could this be a role for you?
Most of us have had to use the services of a JP at some time or other, when copies certified, buying a house and getting financial affairs sorted or even getting a marriage dissolution.
It is a duty at your home and at several service desks in the area.
It is an important role in New Zealand on a volunteer basis and we still need more JPs in our growing community.
If you have already been an active volunteer within you community, are a confident computer user, of good character, and have a good command of both written and spoken English, you might like to investigate if this could be a role for you.
We will be holding an information evening on
August 25th at 7pm at Destination Orewa,
350 Hibiscus Coast Highway Unit N (upstairs next to Bolliwood Restaurant)
To hear more about being a Justice of the Peace and what it entails and procedure to become one, Hon. Mark Mitchell, our local MP will be speaking. Our President of Auckland Justices of the Peace Association, Sherryl Wilson JP and some others will be there to answer questions you may have.
