North Canterbury road safety still a priority despite 10 year wait for bypass
A bypass may not be imminent, but road safety through Woodend, North Canterbury, is still a priority, according to the NZ Transport Agency.
The agency's director of regional relationships, Jim Harland, said public views were being sought to make short-to-medium term safety improvements to the existing section of State Highway 1, through Woodend township.
