Isn't Franklin the Onion capital of New Zealand?

Lesley from Pukekohe

Then why is our local Pak N Save selling near rotten onions? I just went in and out of their entire bin on show, I found only these 3 onions that were still in my opinion, fresh.

If anyone says " but we're at the end of the onion season and that's all we can get!", rubbish, we are still exporting container loads of fresh onions overseas, I know, I drive for a container trucking local business that delivers them to the Auckland wharves every day.

If I were Pak N Saves Vege Manager, I'd be extremely ashamed and pull these off the shelf immediately and go and A.S. Wilcox in Puni or ST Packers in Tuakau and beg for fresh produce!
